I have to say there was some great material in there imho. Some of it was basic and some of it not, certainly his series on PPC was very thorough. Maybe Seth Godin was a poor comparison because Seths approach comes from a very specific world view, one that I and many other subscribe to. BTW, there isn't much that's new in marketing any more than in self-development. It comes down to who can present the information more clearly and who can tweak it more subtly to make it more accessible most of the time.
