If At First You Don’t Succeed – Get Help!

I am going to keep this post very short and sweet as it’s a way for me to thank some wonderful people in public.

It’s also an opportunity to tell you about something really exciting that is happening with How To Be Rich and Happy and a very special offer.

Our project to giveaway 1,000,000 copies of How To Be Rich and Happy started to stall somewhat at the beginning of this year. We were still selling the book fairly well, but we were struggling to get charities to take free copies.

There seemed to be an underlying air of suspicion, that we really must have some cunning self-serving motive that they couldn’t see.

Then via the marvelous Bob Poole, Becky Blanton came into my life. As I said on the How To Be Rich and Happy blog, Becky is whirling dervish when it comes to charitable work.

Within what seemed like hours of receiving the book she had set to work on helping the charities see the error of their ways and persuading them to take cases.

Then last week I got an e-mail from Becky saying:

Call me now!

She had been contacted by award winning marketeer Rabbi Issamar Ginzberg. Rabbi Ginzberg had bought a day on I Wear Your Shirt, a website that promotes businesses using social media via people wearing t-shirts related to the product or service.

Unfortunately the day he’d been allocated was today (Wednesday) and for those of you that don’t know, it’s Passover and for religious reasons the Rabbi can’t work.

So what did he do?

Did he scream and shout and demand to be given his money back?

No.

Did he try and sell his date to another business?

No.

Did he whine and complain about how unfair life is?

No.

What he actually did was pick up the phone to Becky and say:

“Do you know a great cause that could use this day for free?”

That was the conversation that prompted Becky to e-mail me and kick started a load of manic activity requiring that we get artwork to the organizers for the t-shirts that night.

Fortunately, everything has fallen in to place perfectly and today we are proud to say that people all over the US will be wearing t-shirts bearing the How To Be Rich and Happy logo and talking about our project to get the books into the hands of 1,000,000 people that can get the most benefit.

By the way, one of the things we have set up with I Wear Your Shirt is a very special deal for people that buy the book this week and help us in our quest.
