Hi Tim,
How come you’re not doing more video posts?
I think you’re a natural.
Cheers
Chris
@ Greg – Wow! I had no idea that somewhere like Oz would be on a system like that. That sucks big time mate.
I’ll consider doing 30 second videos for the lovely people down under.
And of course I’ll keep this quiet as a ‘known’ Pom and not make any convict jokes whatsoever;-)
Hey Tim,
Enjoy ‘reading’ your stuff. Unfortunately here in Oz our broadband is so woeful that watching a 2 minute video can take up to 20 minutes. Very frustrating. Added to that is the fact that most of us have a limited monthly download, and when that runs out (usually by the end of week one!) then our broadband speed drops back to dial up speeds. So video presentations become a lesson in patience…
If we ever get the same speeds available to, well, everyone else on the damn planet, then I’d be happy to surf You Tube more often. Until then, we’re sort of stuck with reading…
P.S: Of course, you’ll have the decency to keep our conversations strictly MUM as many Australians take a dim view of other Aussies ‘chatting’ with known Poms :)
Cheers,
Greg

@ Kim – That’s an interesting idea – lol.
Well, I love your videos :-) But I usually find out about them on Twitter.
Interesting that I stopped by today and saw this article. This morning I was just wondering if you were going to do a “how to hate your loved ones” series for Valentine’s Day ;-)

@ Ned – Thanks for that! I agree 1005 about YouTube although I’m not sure what the answer is. Don’t fight it ;-)
@ Evelyn – The thing is it’s so cheap now. I have a hi-def video but there’s no real reason why you can’t use a built in webcam like I did for the anchoring demo. It’s so easy although I guess being on a Mac helps because it is just built for this kind of stuff.
@ Anja – Thanks!
Excellent. Well done.

Great idea to explore more channels to market your site! Hmmm…I guess I’ll have to look into publishing more videos myself. Thanks for sharing your stats! I really need to look into mine, something that I’ve not done lately.

Well, I prefer the videos. You are funny and informative either way. The only thing is, I don’t like youtube’s comment section. It’s kind of like reading the graffiti in a public bathroom. I like the interaction in the comments section of your blog.
Other than that, I’ll be tugging on my ear and trying not to think of you spread eagle on your car.

@ Dave – You can go and have a lie down now, well done.
@ Alex – Do it! Do it! Do it! My average Stumble Upon visitor stays about 2 minutes. My average YouTube visitor about 20 minutes! Do the math ;-)
I too have been resisting video posts. I notice, however, that more and more people are doing them. In 2009 I might rethink my no-audio no-video post attitude but for now I’ll just have to watch yours and let inspiration trickle through…
But good for you for realizing the bias us blog readers were holding onto! ;)

I am now subsribed to your You Tube channel. Mind you, I had to bother myself to sign up first. That took a lot of effort.
@ Jay – Thanks man and mix it up I will. Don’t worry about your wife we can always run away together.
@ Tom – I have no idea what you mean, but thanks anyway! ;-)
@ Juliet – Lol, well it is a bit lazy. Actually I probably will do that IF I remember. I’m not the most organized life coach in the world.
@ Davina – That’s interesting to know, thanks!
Hi Tim. Great idea to separate your blog and your videos — I watched the video and I may not have if it were on your blog. Enjoyed. Anchored.

Hi there
“I’ll occasionally drop a link in to a new video from here”
Maybe always let us know if you have a new video? Or is that lazy on my part…

Wow, very interesting post in fact. It makes so much sense, it is like looking at multiple streams of traffic from different sources.

I say mix it up. I enjoyed your video on anchoring. I have noticed speakers doing these things all the time. The only downfall is now I will be saying how handsome you are to break my concentration; making my wife might start to wonder. :-)
