A couple of years ago I ran a uStream channel on self development for a very short period of time.
If you are unfamiliar with uStream, it’s basically a set up where I talk to my webcam and anybody can log in and watch in real time should they so wish.
People can type questions on Life Coaching and self development and I can do my best to answer them, and of course it’s free for all concerned.
It was fun whilst it lasted, but I had less than half the readers I have now and much as I enjoyed chatting to the merry band that turned up, there were seldom more than a dozen or so people on the call.
Life Coaching Help
I was thinking about this the other day because I probably get 3 or 4 e-mails per week from people asking for coaching advice.
I usually do my best to help out, especially if the person has bothered to find out my name rather than kicked off with something like,
“Hi, can you tell me how I can become a Life Coach by the end of next week, and also do you know whether Schrodinger’s Cat ever met Pavlov’s Dog, and if so, what happened?”
But my typing sucks and sometimes people can ask what they may think is a simple question, but can be far more complex when I start to unpack it.
By the very fact I get a lot more requests for help than I did even a year ago I’m wondering if there may be some interest in this.
However, I’m not sure and I don’t want to spend the time and effort to then end up rambling to a handful of people who are just there to show support or poke fun.
If you’d be interested let me know in the comments. I’ll probably make it every other week and I want to make it a sensible time because I know I have readers from all over the world.
Of course no time will suit everybody, but as the US makes up over 80% of my readers and I live here, I will have to make it as accessible to my fine hosts as possible.
I’m thinking maybe every other Thursday at 7.00pm EDT, but I’m not stuck on that, so if you do leave a comment, please tell me an ideal time for you.
What Will We Talk About?
I’d be happy to talk about anything if I think I’m qualified enough to offer an opinion. And you know how opinionated I am, so that’s everything this side of morphopsycology! ;-)
And just so you’re sure, if you wanted to ask a very personal question and would rather not do so in public, you don’t have to sign in and comment using your real name.
In fact it seems to me most people don’t sign in and uStream simply assigns them a random number.
So you don’t need to worry about admitting you’re are strangely attracted to Wayne Dyer and you think Eckhart Tolle has the horniest voice since Barry White, your secret will be safe.
By letting me know you may be interested, you’re not committing to anything at all and I won’t be hunting you down if you fail to ever show.
On the other hand, please don’t say ‘yes’ because you feel sorry for me when you know you’re more likely to cut your own hair wearing a blindfold than actually log in.
Let me know in the comments and if I get 20 people serious about this I shall set up a new uStream Channel toot suite.
