I just wanted to share a post with you good people that I’ve had published today on the Dumb Little Man site. It is my rather tongue in cheek look at what’s needed to successfully fail at work.
I’m sure you know people that meet all the requirements and then some! Even though the post if over there, I’d love to hear your feedback, attention hound that I am.
Here’s the link and I hope you enjoy it.
Also, whilst I’m here shamelessly bigging myself up, I may as well give you this link to a post JEMi at the excellent In My Heels blog wrote about life coaching a couple of weeks ago.
And finally, this is the last day for downloading the free eBook. I will be pulling this either last thing tonight or first thing in the morning as I now have the professionally produced version from my good friends at Men With Pens.

This is total genius. One of the best ways I’ve seen of explaining something that so many people get wrong.
Thanks a lot for the compliment Milton and also for taking the time to comment. Hope to see some more of you round here!
Hi Tim,
That is absolutely genius – I love it. Its true that personal growth is hard work (I’ve been working with my coach for over six months) but not growing is worse!!

You’re wonderful as always!

Tim,
That is hilarious! You should develop that into a TV show.

Thanks for the feedback everybody and glad you enjoyed it.
If you do like post, I wrote what I modestly think is a better post called Ways To Be Miserable. I had to take it off the site because part of it was used elsewhere and I agreed not to duplicate the material.
If you’d like to read it, you can download my free eBook ‘Don’t Laugh At The Life Coach by clicking either here http://www.adaringadventure.com/life-coaching-bookadd2.php or on the store tab.
No need to cough up any details it downloads directly from the site.
Hey great post. Sadly a few of the ways are tactics that misguided people actually use to try to get ahead in the workplace. So glad I now work from home!
@ Steve – That’s exactly right. They actually think that acting in that way is the way to get on. The sad thing is that I have known a few that have succeeded, if succeeded is the right word.
Tim,
Twas an inspired post. I have long followed those exact recommendations. I just never realized until now that they were meant to bring me failure instead of success.

On brown nosing, I remember something a professor of mine once said:
What is the difference between ass kissing and brown nosing?
- Depth perception ^_^
Awesome post Tim:)
@ Doug – I think that’s what THEY think! Glad you now know differently ;-)
@ RJ – You always make me laugh mate although I’m not sure how grateful I am for that picture you have just helped put in my mind!
This is great… I am a victim myself. I guess it takes a different way of seeing something to realize it.
I have been on both sides, an employee and a business owner… its an interesting perspective.
