Use Your Brain For A Change by Richard Bandler

Brain Change
This is one of Bandlers most accessible and easy to read books. You don’t really need to have any understanding of NLP because he explains what it means to him up front. I also have the audio version of this and Bandler is one of the most charismatic trainers I have ever heard. If you want to make some profound changes in your life, this book can help you.

The Psychology of Achievement by Brian Tracy

When I first listened to this a number of years ago I was blown away. Brian Tracy has a great way of explaining things that even I can understand so I know you must be able to. If you aren’t into setting goals and think success requires lounging around a lot more you may want to skip past this one.

Think And Grow Rich – Napoleon Hill

Think & Grow Rich
Probably the first and maybe the greatest self-development book ever written. Almost a century after Hill originally put pen to paper the lessons in this book about success still hold true.

How To Be Brilliant by Michael Heppell

How To Be Brilliant
The live version is the one to go for but unfortunately I can’t find it in the US and the paperback is a bit pricey! Similar to Steve McDermott’s (they are both on Red Audio recordings) but more on business tack. If you are in the UK I feel sure you will get it from Amazon.co.uk.

The Structure of Magic Vol 1 – Richard Bandler & John Grinder

The first book on NLP and not the best by any means. However, it blew me away because before I read this I had no comprehension of the power of language. Heavy going for anybody not into the technicalities of language.

The Secrets of An Inspirational Life by Wayne Dyer

I have really struggled with this because Wayne Dyer is my favorite author and I really didn’t want to list more than a couple of his books so it was a real dilemma which to go for. I picked this book simply because I have listened to it recently. It really was that simple just like his message. That doesn’t mean it isn’t profound, (the book that is, not my decision making process) because it offers layers of wisdom and insight into living a better more fulfilled life.

Change Your Thoughts – Change Your Life by Wayne Dyer

This book is Wayne Dyers take on a 2,500-year-old Tao Te Ching (pronounced Dow Da Ching). I say take, because it isn’t a translation per se rather an interpretation. He explains to the reader/listener what he believed Lao-tzu was trying to say when he dictated the ‘Great Way’ rather than just giving a verbatim transcript. It wont be to everybody’s tastes (what is?) but it is an enlightening read to what could be possible if people were to adopt its message.
