| The Heart of Success by Rob Parsons |
| |
I like this audio programme for its pure simplicity. With his lovely Welsh brogue and gentle delivery Rob Parsons makes you realize that there is more to life than work and money. If you think working 80 hours a week is cool and missing the first 10 years of your kids lives is necessary to be a success, then this wont be for you. |

| The Power Of Full Engagement by Jim Loehr & Tony Schwartz |
| |
I only listened the audio version of this book at the back end of 2006 and it blew me away. The authors look at the holistic approach to health and performance by understanding that you need to be emotionally, mentally and spiritually fit as well as physically. Technical but very accessible to the layperson that wants to improve his or her performance in any aspect of their life. |

| Mans Search For Meaning by Victor Frankl |
| |
Required reading for anybody that wants to understand the power of the human spirit. Nothing could keep Frankl down, not even 4 Nazi concentration camps and years of brutality. Told with honesty, intelligence and not a little wit, it is a harrowing tale that should not be shied away from. |

| Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff by Richard Carlson. |
| |
When I heard of Richard Carlson’s death at such a young age the end of 2006 I was truly shocked and saddened. A great book that can be read by anybody and will have an immediate impact. Sensible, real world advice for those prepared to take it and a huge influence on my own writing. |

| Embracing Fear by Thom Rutledge |
| |
This book gave me my best A-HA! Moment of 2007 and was worth the cost alone. Actually it was a gift so it didn’t cost me anything, but it WOULD have been worth the cost if I had actually paid for it. Some stunningly simple advice and written from the heart with wit and charm. In my opinion this book is better than the excellent ‘Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway’ |

| Games People Play |
| |
The book that introduced Transactional Analysis to the world in the early 1960’s. If you have ever wondered why people 'play games' and adopt different roles under different circumstances to get what they want, then this book will help you find out why. It isn't a self-help book per se, more of a layman’s guide understanding certain aspects of human behavior
