Being a Professional Life Coach I probably hear the word stress more often than most people. Having said that, I’m sure even the most hearing impaired, half-wit troglodyte comes across it several times per day in either words or actions. People get stressed by work, stressed by the kids, stressed by their boss, stressed by their spouse and stressed by reading blogs about stress. It’s pandemic and shows absolutely no sign of abating any

The word stress gets bandied around more freely than Vodka at a Polish wedding yet the reality is that it doesn’t exist as a single entity. It’s a catchall term that we use to describe any number of different conditions including worry, fear, anxiety and lack of control.
I’m going to go even further and say there is no such thing as stress per se which is a weird thing for a Life Coach

When I first take on somebody for life coaching I require them to fill in 3 forms. One of the forms I use as a benchmark to get and idea of not just where they are, but more importantly, where they think they are. One of the things that has struck with since living in the US is the low level of vacation time that most people take. I know that most new jobs seldom offer more than 2 weeks paid vacation time unless you are in highly employable, highly desirable bracket, which to my mind is nothing short of ridiculous.
When life-coaching clients come to me with issues around stress management and getting their work life

I frequently deal with Life Coaching clients that are in a permanent state of high stress. Stress is an insidious and destructive condition yet there are some surprisingly easy methods to bring it under control. I must stress (pun intended) that it is important to look at the underlying causes and try and treat them, but in the meantime there are several things that you can do to help reduce symptoms and make you

I have had no less than 3 conversations this last week with life coaching clients about the need to slow down and take things a little, or in some cases, a lot easier.
If you are stressed out or worried sick about something I can almost guarantee that you’re breathing and heart rate will be increased. In turn, that can lead to higher blood pressure and all the long-term health risks associated.
So, slooooow

I am in the middle of moving home. Apparently it is supposed to be one of the most stressful things somebody can do outside of getting divorced or dying neither of which I plan to do any time soon.
The weird thing is though I don’t feel in the least bit stressed. I’d prefer it if it wasn’t quite so hot but other than that it doesn’t seem at all stressful just a load
