The Life Coach And The Shark

Somebody asked me the other day why I bother Blogging. I don’t allow responses to my Blog because I get fed up with spammers trying to surreptitiously sell their wares so it’s not like I am getting loads of ego-boasting feedback and/or clients directly from it.

 

There are 3 reasons really.

 

Firstly it allows me to offer life coaching advice to anybody that wants to read it but maybe can’t afford or doesn’t want to pay for it. I have no idea how many people that actually applies to because although I get between 150 and 200 unique visitors a day I am guessing at least half of those are less interested in what I have to say than either my wife or my dog. However, I have had e-mails from people telling me they read and you’re reading now so it’s not completely redundant.

 

Secondly, I love to write but I am lazy about it. Oh yes it is true I have to life coach myself on a daily basis or I’d probably sit around staring into space or wondering such nonsense as to why airports don’t use sharks to detect drugs and explosives. Seriously, I kid you not that was an idea that passed through the empty corridors of my mind whilst in line at airport security the other day. Sharks have a much better sense of smell than dogs and could sniff out nefarious substances from the next county. I agree it would be expensive to flood the airport and not a little problematical but needs be when the devil drives and all that.

 

So when I write I capture (for better or worse) my thoughts and can look back on them days, weeks or months later and wonder what the hell I was talking about and why wasn’t I locked away for my own safety.

 

Thirdly, it helps my search engine ranking. My stunningly brilliant SEO company explained to me some months ago that Google likes new content on websites. Each time it comes back to spider my site and sees something new it then feels like it would be rude not to pop back sooner next time in case I have uttered forth any more pearls of wisdom.  Blogging and using terms like Florida life coach, Orlando personal coach etc allows Google to find me under those search terms. In fact by telling you that now I am inexorably working my way towards world domination (purely in life coaching terms you understand).

 

So there you have it. They are the main reasons why I write my Blog. I hope you will continue to read and tell all your friends and family about a site so entertaining that you have decided to sell your TV for fear of continual disappointment and anti-climax.
