Lose Weight The Easy Way
Before I moved to the US I had a great personal trainer back in the UK called Pete Swaile. Pete is one of those sickening types that is always smiling, always upbeat and has never got a bad word to say about anybody. He’s the kind pf person you could take home to meet your mother and she’d probably want to adopt him and dump you.
Pete helped me tremendously in keeping me motivated to workout without ever feeling the need to instill the fear of God into me, which seems the stock in trade of some personal trainers. When he said he was considering leaving the gym to go solo and was preparing to introduce Life Coaching into his repertoire I was delighted, both for him and his future clients. I have no doubt that he’ll be a highly successful Life Coach offering a great blend of knowledge of what makes us tick physically and just as importantly, mentally.
I subscribed to Pete’s weekly newsletter when he launched it a few weeks ago and have enjoyed his practical no-nonsense advice. In today’s edition he offers a fantastic tip to anybody looking to loose a few pounds. I have to confess that I had never heard this before but I’m grateful that I know it now.
Next time you reach for a quick snack you know you shouldn’t be how about reaching for a glass of water instead? Initial symptoms of dehydration include sensations of hunger that won’t be quenched by nibbling alone. Pour yourself a glass of water, drink it and notice if the hunger subsides. If it doesn’t then you’re hungry, eat some food !! You will be surprised though how often the water trick works.
