Hi Tim, it's great to see you! I'm glad you decided to try a video post. To be honest, I've been slacking a bit with mental habit changing. This video was a great new thing to remind me about reframing and I really needed it.

When I need to reframe and forget that option is available to me, it's crazy to think how simple and effective it is, but just slips by if unremembered. How nice it would be to be in the habit of reframing every day!

Thanks Tim, for letting me and everyone know of my broken link. I think I've got it fixed now.

The different impressions are good. :) They keep getting better.

Marelisa, that is a great way to put it - tell yourself a different story about it. If the story had a positive point instead of a negative one (and any story can), then what would it say or how would it be told? I'm going to use that too. I'm getting lots of good teaching strategies here.

@ Marelissa - I couldn't agree more, that's EXACTLY what reframing is.

Hi Tim: What a great idea to have a video-post. Reframing to me is like choosing to tell yourself a different story about the event. Like if you say hello to someone and they don't greet you back, you can tell yourself a story along the lines of "There must be something wrong with me, that's why he didn't say 'hello' back." Or you can tell yourself that the other person didn't hear you, they didn't realize you were talking to them, or they're simply having a bad day. I completely agree with you that reframing is a great strategy.

Loved the video. This is basically what I teach people in a nutshell. I love the illustration of reframing. I'm going to steal it. I'll give you credit of course. :)

Loved seeing you on video. I just keep getting different impressions of you all the time. You look different in the video than in your pic. Hope you post more videos. Great job!

@ JEMi - I don't think anything I have done has been described as cool this side of 1988, thanks!

@ Laurie - That's not really a reframe but it's a great outcome and that's what we're after! Homework excused ;-)

@ Ali - Now THAT'S a reframe. A+ and a gold star to boot.

Thanks for posting that, Tim. :-) Very cool to see/hear you -- I'm impressed that you actually talk the way you write...!

So here's my "homework" done: I've got a ton of project-stuff to catch up on after a holiday -- blog writing, website design, etc. But rather than carrying on like I was half an hour ago and staring in despair at my still-to-do list, I'm gonna have a FUN day today, getting on with the things that matter to me (I have the day off work). In particular, I'm gonna enjoy getting as much done on my website as possible, because it is starting to look cool and because my business cards with the new URL on have arrived...

So it's going to be an exciting, challenging, adventure-some day!
