Ask Santa To Send You A Life Coach
It’s rare that somebody calls me on behalf of another person and when that does happen it’s usually a parent enquiring whether I coach kids. However, very occasionally I will get asked whether I do gift certificates. I don’t actually supply gift certificates per se although of course I am more than happy to credit somebody with life coaching sessions as a present for another person.
Now you may call me biased here and you would be right because I am, but it seems a no-brainer to me to give something to a loved one that can help improve the quality of their life.
I am always banging on to anybody that will listen and to some that wont, about people that think nothing of spending $500 on a new dress to make them feel better, but would be horrified at the thought of spending a similar amount on something as intangible as hiring a life coach. The women are just as bad too!
There is one huge caveat to this argument and I’m not talking about one of those large ties that upper crust Brits tend to wear and think look cool. They don’t by the way, they look silly but that’s another matter and I can say that because I’m British. The caveat is this. The person that you are hiring a coach for must be able to the see the value and want coaching. You cannot book them in because you think they need some help to see things from your perspective, and you cannot hire a coach (not an ethical one anyway) that will work to your agenda.
So if you know of a family member, loved one or just good friend that would benefit from life coaching then you can do something a little bit more original than buying them a pair of socks or a book for their next birthday or even Christmas. Can’t you?
